From the love of a giant Christmas tree covered in lights at the age of 5 Chris Bracey began his life long affair with light.  The family business helped to fuel this interest with his father making neon signs for fairgrounds all around the south coast.  A foundation course at college led him to work in a commercial art studio in the West End where he learnt the importance of perfection.    Eventually the call to work with light became too strong and he started work in the family business which within 5 years he transformed into a leading edge company.   He worked with neon, played with neon and breathed neon.   In the 70’s and 80’s Soho’s screaming signs were all designed, made and fitted by Chris working round the clock to meet the relentless demand to draw in the punters.  The film Mona Lisa for which Chris illuminated statues of Mary fuelled his love affair with the film industry.  Since, he has illuminated the streets of many productions, Judge Dredd, Batman, Superman, Tomb Raider, 007, and Eyes Wide Shut with Stanley Kubric to name but a few.  Chris was thrilled to receive a commission to work with David Lachapell for the Selfridges Vegas Super Nova spectacular in 2004 reproducing the visions of the sleazy side of Las Vegas from LaChapell’s head into large neon window displays.   Chris’s love of old signs, love of light, and fascination of the unusual spurred him on to produce incredible neon and bulb artworks which are collected by a cult following in LA and across Europe.

Dubbed a ‘psychological illusionist’ by the Press, Derren Brown is a performer who combines magic, suggestion, psychology, misdirection and showmanship in order to seemingly predict and control human behaviour, as well as performing mind-bending feats of mentalism.

For the past ten years Derren has created TV and stage performances that have stunned audiences, debunked the paranormal and encouraged many to improve and enhance their own mental abilities. His first show appeared in 2000, Derren Brown: Mind Control, and followed with Trick of the Mind, Trick or Treat and a series of Specials including the controversial Russian Roulette and the hugely popular Events.

Derren is a keen writer and has penned four books to date. Whilst his first two books, Absolute Magic and Pure Effect, are both out of print his third release Tricks of the Mind spent over 30 weeks on the Amazon best-seller list. His fourth release is due soon and is as yet officially untitled.

In addition to his award-winning performances on stage and television, Derren is also an accomplished artist. Specialising in a unique style of caricatured portraiture, Derren’s work has been exhibited at the prestigious Rebecca Hossack Gallery in central London as well as being published in a collected volume of works in which Derren also writes about his passion for the medium and his development as an artist.

Born in 1972 in New York, Diann Bauer lives and works in London and Berlin.

Solo exhibitions include 'Necrotroph-Optopolis', Paradise Row, London (2007) and 'Bludgeonerator', The Showroom, London (2006).

Commissions include 'Sabine Descent', a site-specific wall drawing commissioned through the Contemporary Art Society Consultancy for Pictet Collection, London (2009) and 'Harlow Temple of Utopias', the creation of a public pavillion and temporary space for contemporary art in collaboration with Roman Vassuer sited in Harlow, Essex (2008).

Bauer was featured in Contemporary Art Society's ARTfutures 2007 and ARTfutures 2005 held at Bloomberg SPACE, London. Her large-scale paintings and drawings perform like installations, altering the architecture of the spaces in which they are presented, while forcing viewers to move around these spaces in order to explore the works’ intricate detailing.

Bauer splices together imagery drawn from sources as diverse as Rubens paintings, Japanese prints, carnival caravans and contemporary architectural drawings and most recently bits of text appropriated from literature spanning from Thomas Pynchon to Yokio Mishima. Her works appear to be structured according to a cinematic vision, derived as much from history painting as from popular films. Delivering an excess of information, her singular images collapse the multiple points of view of a shifting camera eye. They compress historical time, tearing apart the fabric of cause-effect narrative. Responding to the demand for more, inherent in our contemporary moment, her representations suggest a violence so great, so spectacular and exciting, so unfathomable, that it bypasses ordinary sequential logic. This violence is the surplus of energy generated by absolute revelation and baroque excess, which coalesces into abject globs of flesh or gum as it ripples through her fragmented imagery…

Winchester based artist who works in a variety of media. His imagery derives from his observations of landscape elements and the 'traces' left by the human presence over time.

JANE BRISTOWE, short-listed for Wildlife Artist of the Year 2008 and exhibitor at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2010, combines her clear and distinct use of line with a passion for colour.

Her innovative linocuts - display her inventive artistic imagination in capturing the simple appearances and character of a stunning array of animals - and have placed Bristowe among the best of this genre currently working today.
