Will Isambard Spigs Woods
Will or Spigs as he is known to his family is a 34 year old chef / teacher / linguist / painter / skateboarder. Will currently lives in Morocco after having lived for 9 years in Spain and roughly 8 months in Holland.
In Morocco he is currently advising on the management of a small hotel (Riad Maizie).
Will’s education includes 2 A Levels, a foundation year in Camberwell college of Arts in 3D design and a BTEC Diploma in Spatial design studied at Suffolk University.
During Will’s time in Spain he has held 16 exhibitions of his paintings and made 3 short films, as well as various small graphic design jobs. His painting style has evolved on two occasions firstly when he started writing his short novel, ‘the man they changed’, helped him realize that art isn’t solely about the ascetic beauty in life but also the dirt and detritus life has to offer. Secondly after a 72-hour train journey from Bologna to Malaga, where upon arriving to Malaga Will started painting profusely with the effects of sleep deprivation. He is currently furthering his exploration of the juxtaposition of contrasting and complementary images in order to find out the big meaning of things, his future goals are to exhibit in more countries, publish his novel in some form and to start making films in some capacity.
