Mission statement
The purchase of any piece of art has a unique story behind it, perhaps even more so if the painting has also helped fund a worthy charity close to a person's heart.
Art of Giving will hold events throughout the year to highlight various charities being supported and, through art sales, donating a substantial proportion of the proceeds to these causes. Art of Giving will, through its website, promote and sell the works of both new and previously exhibited artists, along with the sale of celebrity art and memorabilia, through live auctions. The Art of Giving website will be officially launched at the Saatchi Gallery in October 2010.
Art of Giving will also be organising annual art competitions with the aim to encourage both established and aspiring artists to take part and to be given the fantastic opportunity to exhibit their work in renowned galleries; for the National Art Competition 2010, finalists will be offered the chance to exhibit at the world renowned Saatchi Gallery.
Art is a reflection of the world we live in - and has the ability to transcend differences, giving hope and nurturing understanding. As the world continues to grow more complex, the importance of art for promoting social consciousness and goodwill cannot be underestimated.
Our short term goal is to establish Art of Giving as an organization that facilitates aid to worldwide charitable causes with the funding to enable us to dedicate ourselves to achieving our goals in raising awareness and funds for artists and charities alike.
Our long term goal is to establish Art of Giving internationally, with participating franchises in all parts of the world promoting and selling art, raising awareness and funds for charitable causes along with offering a wealth of art related opportunities.
…such as sourcing artists in developing countries, helping them to realize their full potential, encouraging them to make a positive impact in raising funds through the sale of their art for their homes and communities.
…bringing art therapy to a wide range of places such as hospitals, hospices, the elderly and the grieving…allowing people, who have difficulty with words, to express themselves, enabling the unsayable to be said.
Art’s healing ability has no boundaries.
"Be the change you want
to see in the world."
